Frigidaire goes big in bid to go home with you

There are five burners on the Frigidaire's cooktop, including one oval burner in the center.

The Frigidaire FGGF3058RF is a $1,150 freestanding gas range.

The Frigidaire has two "quick boil" burners, the controls for one of which is pictured here on the right.

The range is covered with a smudge-resistant stainless steel. Don't get too excited about the finish, though; you'll still need to keep some wipes handy for fingerprints.

The touchpad controls can be tricky to use, especially the buttons that control more than one function.

Some extra cook settings on this Frigidaire include convection cooking modes and a pizza button for your favorite fresh or frozen pie.

The range has convection bake and convection roast modes that use the convection fan to more evenly heat the oven cavity.

The pictures on the left show biscuits I baked at the same time (the biscuits on the top left baked on a higher rack than the biscuits on the bottom left). The illustrations on the right show color representations of the biscuits' browning, which is uneven across both trays of biscuits.

This illustration shows the average time it took to broil hamburgers in the Frigidaire's oven. The burgers that cooked closer to the front of the oven on the right side and in the center cooked the fastest, which shows the broiler is hottest in that area.

I used the pizza button to cook this frozen dish. However, the button just sets the oven to a predetermined temperature based on whether you select "fresh" or "frozen" pizza.

The oven cooked a chicken well on convection roast mode.
