Forza Meguiar's Car Pack brings old and new metal to Xbox One (pictures)
Whether you're looking for something old, something new, something turbo or something blue, Forza Motorsport 6's latest monthly car pack includes plenty of lustworthy metal. The best part is, you can smash one into a guardrail and not feel sorry at all!
Each month, Xbox One's flagship driving game releases a new set of cars. This is the sixth and final installment in Forza Motorsport 6's Car Pass. Individual car packs retail for about $7.
1934 Alfa Romeo P3
The oldest car in the pack, the Alfa Romeo P3 goes back to the early days of motorsport, packing an inline-8 engine and tires that look like they're from a bicycle. This vehicle in particular had a legendary pilot -- Tazio Nuvolari, winner of the 1933 24 Hours of Le Mans.
2015 Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototype
Currently the only model participating in the Daytona Prototype class, Chevrolet's offering is a mutt, blending prototypes and more traditional GT cars. This V-8-powered, closed-cockpit racer features the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing livery, which picked up several podiums during the 2015 season.
2015 Ferrari 488 GTB
This car pack isn't just about racing -- it also includes a very important street model. The 488 GTB replaces the 458 Italia, adding two turbochargers into the mix. The result is a 660-horsepower stunner, and while it might not look very different on the outside, it's what's inside that counts.
1969 Fiat Dino 2.4 Coupe
In order to race in Formula 2, Enzo Ferrari needed to sell 500 production engines. They ended up in two different bodies -- the Ferrari Dino 206 GT and this, the Fiat Dino. Whereas the Ferrari is mid-engined, the Fiat puts its motor up front. The car is actually a bit of a hodge-podge -- it was built in Ferrari's Maranello factory, using Lamborghini Miura brakes and an Aston Martin transmission.
1988 Jaguar XJR-9
Jaguar was determined to return to endurance racing, and the XJR-9 was the car that realized the company's dream. This V-12-powered racer sports the #60 Castrol Jaguar Racing livery -- you might be more familiar with its sister car, the purple-and-yellow #2 Silk Cut, which ended up winning Le Mans.
1967 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL
How do you follow up on a design as iconic as the 300SL Gullwing? With this: the 280 SL. Built for performance and luxury at the same time, this twee little roadster packed devilishly good looks and counted several celebrities as owners, including John Lennon and Sir Stirling Moss.
1968 Opel GT
Featuring pop-up headlights, a fastback silhouette and a sharp front end, it's no wonder the Opel GT was considered a European version of the Chevrolet Corvette. The Opel GT is a mixture of French and American ingenuities that would go on to sell more than 100,000 units during its run.
