Meet the Flir FX
The Flir FX is a new home security camera that's small, portable and can fit nearly anywhere.
It costs $199 and connects to your home Wi-Fi network. You connect the camera to your phone, so that you can watch the video while you're away.
The best part is that Flir combines all of the clips the camera records throughout the day into a shorter video, with all of the movement superimposed into one shot.
4-megapixel recording
The Flir FX has a 4-megapixel lens that can record in 1080p. It also has a 160-degree viewing angle to capture a wide shot.
Motion-activated
The camera detects motion to start recording and stops when there's no more action. That means you'll only ever see clips where there's action, not dead air.
Manually record
Press the record button on top to manually record video. This is great if you remove the charging base, which turns the Flir FX into an action camera you can take with you anywhere.
Indoor stand
The Flir FX comes with an indoor base that provides 4 hours of battery life, on top of the camera's 2 hours.
You can buy other mounts, including a weather-resistant outdoor casing and a car dash mount.
Power and Wi-Fi
The power and Wi-Fi buttons on the side help you set up the camera.
