Take a peek at the secret in your new favourite keyboard

The new Flaretech Prism switches are set to change how gaming keyboards work.

You can remove and replace caps, as normal with most high-end keyboards.

But you can also remove the entire switch. There's no solder holding it in and no physical connection -- just the infrared optical sensor. That means any faulty or broken keys can be easily replaced. 

Shown here on the Aorus K9 optical keyboard, it also means waterproofing.

The Adomax keyboard here comes with a custom tool that lets you remove the key caps with one side and the switch itself with another.

The keys are also analogue. Pretty much every other keyboard is digital -- off or on. The new Flaretech switches will register pressure, like buttons on a controller. Press harder to jump further or accelerate faster.
