Inside FirstBuild's Oven with Easy-Slide Door (pictures)

FirstBuild took this $1,899 GE Profile Series 30-inch Free-Standing Double Oven Range with Convection (model number PB950SFSS) and made a few updates.

First, the team of makers changed the upper oven door from a traditional pull-down door to a slide-out door.

That way, you can open the upper oven door like a drawer.

That has the potential to improve the usability of this 2.2-cubic-foot oven.

FirstBuild also added a "peek" feature for quick glances at your food.

That feature lets you tilt the door open without using the sliding drawer.

The "floor" of the oven is also removable.

Unscrew it and lift it out for easier cleaning.

All of the other specs remain the same on this GE double-oven range.

FirstBuild plans to sell its Oven with Easy-Slide Door on FirstBuild.com later this year.
