OK, so maybe the JVC is a little expensive. Fir a third the price, the Epson 5030UB will fill dad's wall with more home theater awesomeness than he'll know what to do with.

So dad knows everything about 4K TVs yet still wants one. Samsung's UNF9000 is the best from the crop of 2013, and the only with the future-readiness to this year's 4K content (with the optional OneConnect box). The 2014 models are coming soon and may be even better, however.
