Beam me up, Scotty

ATLANTA -- Believe it or not, you're not looking at the late James Doohan, better known as Scotty (Montgomery Scott) from the original "Star Trek" television show and movies, but rather a costumer named Larry Robertson posing as the iconic sci-fi character at Dragon Con. The annual event, spread across multiple convention-size hotels, draws in tens of thousands of people to Georgia's capital and has become somewhat of a mecca for cosplay -- the act of wearing a costume and changing your appearance to match a character from any geeky genre, ranging from video games, comic books, movies, and more. Click on through our gallery to see some amazing costume creations, and don't miss our gallery of cosplay from the first day of the 2013 Dragon Con.
