The most active door in the house
If you're anything like me, then your suburban home's garage door sees a lot of action.
A kit with just a few parts
There are not a lot of parts in the MyQ Garage kit, and you just need a few basic tools to install it.
The control unit is compact
The main control unit for the MyQ Garage is small and very light.
Drill some holes
You'll need to drill some holes in your ceiling to mount the main MyQ Garage unit. Don't worry -- the kit comes with screws and plastic anchors.
Find a good spot
You should mount the MyQ Garage above your current door opener, yet visible from the garage doorway .
Don't forget the garage door sensor
The last part of the MyQ hardware puzzle is a sensor you mount to the top-right corner of your garage door.
Some Nest control, but not much
The MyQ app only lets you toggle Nest's Home and Away modes.
