The Coby Kyros 8-inch tablet delivers Android 2.2 for around $200. Other features include an HDMI output, microSD memory expansion, front-facing camera, and the AppsLib app store.
One of the unique features of the Coby Kyros is its 8-inch screen size. Most tablets we've seen sit in the 7-inch or 10-inch camps (though at this price most are 7 inches). Unfortunately, the extra screen real estate can't make up for the poor screen quality.
The back of the Kyros includes a pair of stereo speakers. Noticeably absent is a rear-facing camera.
The bottom edge of the Kyros offers a bevy of ports, including microSD, power adapter input, Mini-USB, headphone output, and Mini-HDMI output.
Another unique feature of the Kyros is the inclusion of a dedicated button for opening the Android Web browser, along with standard buttons for menu, home, back, and search.
The right side of the Kyros includes a power button and a volume rocker switch.
The difference in screen quality between the Apple iPad (left) and Coby Kyros (right) is night and day--not to mention the fact that the Kyros uses a clunky resistive screen.
