Assassin's Creed Origins
After a year off, Assassin's Creed is back and, as you might have guessed from the pyramid this assassin is climbing, it takes place in Egypt. Assassin's Creed Origins debuts on October 27 on Xbox One (and the new, more powerful Xbox One X), PS4 and PC.

Origins takes the story back to the first days of the Assassins. You play as Bayek -- basically an Egyptian cop.

Origins will actually depart from the normal action-adventure feel of earlier titles. It'll be a fully fledged role-playing game so you can level up your character as you choose while you explore the world. From the shot above, it looks like you'll be fighting some scary bosses as well.
Far Cry 5
Ubisoft showed off Far Cry 5 as well. The latest entry in the open-world shooter series brings the fight to America for the first time. Far Cry 5 is due out on February 27, 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Far Cry 5 is set in a fictional region of Montana called Hope County. You'll be fighting off a group of religious cultists known as Eden's Gate that has taken over the disenfranchised area and is violently forcing its will on the populace.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole
The South Park gang are back for another role-playing game from Ubisoft. The Stick of Truth -- the first game in the series -- was surprisingly good. Ubisoft will look to recapture that magic with the aptly named The Fractured But Whole. This South Park sequel is due out on October 17 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto joined the Ubisoft press conference to show off a surprise title: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. The game will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch and released on August 29.

Gameplay will be tactical and turn-based. You'll explore the map with Rabbids and Mario characters, then engage evil Rabbids in a board-game-style battle. The demo made it look similar to XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

In the mood for some online racing? Ubisoft showed off the Crew 2 -- an open-world racing game coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC later this year.

Ubisoft teased a trippy VR game called Transference. It's due out in the spring of 2018 for PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. It'll also be playable outside of VR on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
