Check out all the smart home products at CES 2019

This year smart home products hit CES in force. Here's a look at all the new and interesting connected home gadgets that turned our heads at the show. We'll be updating with things we see all week long, so check back often.

Alarm.com Wellcam

The Wellcam smart video camera connects to Wi-Fi, allowing Alarm.com subscribers to extend their security service into the homes of loved ones. It has a 180-degree field of view, 1080p resolution and the ability to make two-way audio calls. There's a call-out button on the Wellcam too for users to reach out for help.

Altro Smart Lock

The Altro Smart Lock combines a video doorbell and connected deadbolt controller into one handy security gadget. It links to phones and the cloud over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. That lets you lock and unlock your front door remotely, or automatically when it detects your presence.

Airia fragrance dispenser

The Airia by Procter and Gamble is a voice controllable fragrance dispenser. It's about as big as an Amazon Echo or Google Home speaker, and sits on a shelf or table in the center of your home. Inside is a cartridge with 32 nozzles that pull fragrance from its reservoir into individual chambers. Each chamber contains a heater that heats the fragrance oil and causes a bubble that ejects the scent into the air.

For all of the new conveniences and capabilities that smart home products provide, one of the biggest annoyances is having to juggle a ton of different apps and constantly pull out your phone to control all of them. To solve this, the AtmosControl "smart home hub" acts like a universal remote, but with a simplified iPhone-like user interface.

Thanks to Bosch's tiny projector, you could soon use your shelves to pick outfits, check the weather, organize your clothes for laundry day and more. The BML100PI projects images of buttons that you can touch. If you move your finger over the button, a photo diode picks up a reflection of your finger and registers it as a press.

Bowflex Intelligent Max

Bowflex, makers of a wide range of fitness equipment, has something new for your home gym. Called the Max Intelligence platform, it's an optional service that's compatible with Bowflex's Max Trainer M8 and M6 machines. The platform is supposed to act as a digital personal trainer in your home, keeping you motivated and adjusting your workouts for you based on your level of fitness. 

Download the app for Android or iPhone ($15 per month or $149 per year) then complete Bowflex's "fitness assessment." This gives the software a baseline to determine the length and difficulty level that's best for you.

Comcast is aiming to expand its security offerings with an online, AI-powered service called xFi Advanced Security. It's built around the xFi Advanced Security Gateway, a device that plugs in and connects to your home network. Monitoring and analyzing Wi-Fi traffic in your home, xFi Advanced Security uses AI and machine learning to automatically block suspicious activity.

This smart display from French company Domalys is designed to offer a simple means of keeping in touch with loved ones. The device aims to make it easy for seniors to call for help in an emergency by pressing a big red physical button. It also doubles as a router for the company's Aladin motion-sensing safety lights.

As robot vacuums go, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 960 is quite sophisticated. It uses AI-enhanced navigation to recognize objects, as well as their distance from the cleaner. If it sees something like a sock on the floor, it'll know to navigate around it instead of sucking it up. Along with the object recognition, the new Deebot supports virtual walls for sectioning off its cleaning route, as well as Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands.

The Elecpro US:E is different than your standard smart lock. This model has a built-in camera with facial-recognition capabilities. With that it's supposed to be able to scan faces and compare them against a database you create of friends and family to decide if the door should be unlocked.

The Savvy Mirror is essentially a giant Android device on top of a mirror. The dual vanity model we checked out at  CES 2019 has a screen above each sink. From there, you can add apps from the Google Play store, including your preferred voice assistant for information and assistance.

Ezviz DB1 Video Doorbell

Ezviz is back with a new home security device, the DB1 Video Doorbell. Available in the US now for $220, the DB1 features a microSD card slot.The microSD card is not included, but the doorbell can support up to a 128GB card. Many smart doorbells require a monthly (or yearly) subscription to a cloud service to access saved video clips. Ezviz also says its new Wi-Fi-enabled buzzer works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

First Alert, better known for its smoke alarms, now has a video doorbell. Called the Onelink Bell, the connected ringer boasts 1080p HD resolution, a wide-angle lens, night vision, plus two-way audio. It plays nice with Google Assistant and Alexa as well.

Fromaggio was on display at CES 2019 with its self-titled smart cheesemaker. This all-in-one, automatic cheesemaker can create a variety of hard and soft cheeses. Once you pour in milk, cultures and rennet, you can choose from a default cheese setting or customize your cheese. Then, Fromaggio goes through the process of heating the milk, mixing the ingredients, cutting the curd, draining the whey and pressing the cheese (if it is of the hard variety).

Appliance maker Gourmia unveiled a new, smart kitchen appliance. The $150 11-in-1 Deluxe Multicooker works with Google Assistant voice commands. It will also respond to voice instructions you give to Alexa, plus Gourmia's Mia mobile app.

Water decanted from the Duo is heated to plus or minus 1 degree of your selected temperature.

At CES 2019, security device maker Kangaroo expanded its lineup to include a climate sensor, a door sensor, a keypad siren, a doorbell cam and an indoor cam. All will launch later this year and maintain the company's goal of being affordable and easy to setup.

KitchenAid has stepped into the smart display ring with its own gadget. The connected appliance is splash-resistant to stand up to kitchen spills. It's also one of a growing number of smart displays powered by Google Assistant.

It's an all-in-one, small countertop appliance with a dozen capabilities including boiling, frying, steaming, stewing, kneading, chopping, mincing, pureeing, mixing, emulsifying, whipping and stirring. You can also download preset recipes straight to the Cook Processor Connect with Whirlpool's Yummly app.

A startup called LaMetric just came out of nowhere with what might be the best-looking color-changing LED wall panels we've seen yet. Called LaMetric Sky, it's a set of right triangular LED panels that you'll stick up to your walls with double-sided tape. Once they're up, you'll be able to create custom scenes and trigger them with voice commands using Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant.

Keep an eye on your family with the new Leeo Nightlight. This refreshed model senses motion, listens out for smoke alarms, temperature and humidity. It'll push alerts to your phone if anything is amiss or communicate through discrete color-changing LEDs.

Smart lighting company Lifx is working on something new: color-changing candelabra bulbs. What makes these lights especially interesting is that they can put out multiple colors at once. That lets them simulate a flickering flame, or give off some of the same animated, tie-dye-type effects that you get with the multicolor Lifx Tile wall panels. Pricing isn't set yet, but Lifx expects them to launch in the third quarter of 2019.

Is your pillow too hot, or too cold? The Moona smart pillow system might help. It's designed to control your pillow temperature to meet your personal comfort preference. A water pump on your nightstand controls Moona to one of three possible temperature settings (roughly 71 to 97 degrees Fahrenheit). Moona's sensors track ambient light, temperature and humidity in the room, too.

Toronto-based lighting startup Nanoleaf brought a new six-sided LED wall lighting system to CES 2019. Still yet to be officially named, the newly shaped panels work just like their square predecessors and are due in stores by the end of 2019. No word yet on pricing.

Netatmo Smart Video Doorbell does many of the things other similar products can. It offers a 1080p HD video camera with a wide-angle lens. It detects motion, sees in the dark with infrared night vision and has a speaker and microphone. Fancier tricks up its sleeve include Apple HomeKit support, motion zones and person detection.

Pepe is a dryer for your dogs and cats. Larger than a mini-fridge, the Pepe pet dryer can dry a small dog in about 25 minutes. To use it, put your drenched pet inside the dryer, close the door and set the temperature. Warm air circulates around, slowly drying your furry companion.

Pepper makes it easier to cook while helping you maintain your diet. It's still a prototype, but when it's ready, it should be able to calculate up to 150 different nutrients from a library of 8,000 different ingredients. The Pepper doubles as an Alexa-equipped smart speaker too. 

You'll supposedly be able to simply tell Pepper what you're measuring, then start pouring your ingredient. A display on the front of the scale will show you the weight next to four or five other measurements.  These could be sugar, salt, carbs, etc.

Philips has a new outdoor version of its motion sensor, the Philips Hue Outdoor Sensor, along with a couple of new fixtures for the brand's outdoor lighting lineup. All of the new lights will sync with the Hue Bridge, and with Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant for voice control. The battery-powered, weather-proof Hue Outdoor Sensor can trigger your lights whenever motion is detected outside your home.

The Rocking Bed which rocks you asleep like a baby, without having to be on a cruise ship, commuter train, or in a car. In truth, the bed doesn't really rock, rather the frame glides the mattress smoothly back-and-forth. 

The Rocking Bed comes with legs and can be used as a base for your mattress. It can also replace a box spring and sit on your current bed frame. The rocking motion, controlled by a timer built into the the unit, ramps down the movement as the time ends.

Samsung's new WF45R6300AV smart washer and accompanying dryer will come with typical connected abilities. They'll communicate to phones via mobile app, for both status and control.  More interesting is a Laundry Planner that lets you schedule your loads -- not when they begin, but when they'll end. Other app-centric features include Laundry Recipe, which lets you tell the app about the clothes you want to wash -- material, color, stain details, etc. From there, it'll recommend the best cycle for your load.

Somfy makes smart shade motors and a smart-home control platform to command them. Window shades can be set to gradually open, run on a schedule or be controlled via voice assistant. With Zigbee integration, you can also pair shades with other smart devices, like a smart plug, to automate both natural and artificial light together. The Scene Launcher device serves as a handy physical control point. With it installed, you can activate personalized scenes (and multiple devices) with one finger tap.

Gym equipment maker SportsArt has a new treadmill on display here. Called the Verde, and part of the company's Eco-Powr line of products, SportsArt says this treadmill has an "electromagnetic and mechanical braking system to generate electricity during a workout,". If true, every time you jump on the Verde to walk or run, you could produce usable energy and power other gadgets in your house.

Despite its affordable $299 price, Trifo says its Ironpie robot vacuum cleans floors quickly, efficiently and effectively. The Ironpie uses a combination of sophisticated visual sensors, processing power and software to achieve this. The vacuum's other tricks include home monitoring (through its cameras), and future support for Alexa and Google Assistant.

Startup Tuya Smart has brought a new Home Security System to CES 2019, which it claims can spot familiar -- and unfamiliar -- faces. The system includes a hub and a variety of sensors that promise to keep an eye on your home for you. There's also a smart doorbell. Tuya Smart says the system incorporates facial recognition and can alert you if there's a stranger at the door.

U by Moen Smart Shower

The U by Moen Smart Shower already works with Alexa. At CES 2019 though, Moen said it will bring Apple's Siri and Google Assistant on board too. Soon you'll be able to ask all three voice assistants to turn your shower on and off, plus set to your preferred water temperature. Now that's luxury.

The Sunflower Labs security system combines high-tech garden lights with a camera-equipped drone to patrol your yard.The drone is called the bee, and it lives in a hub station called the hive. The hive connects to your Wi-Fi router and keeps the app up to date. You'll set the hive in your yard, but it supposedly has a strong enough antenna to talk to your router. You'll also need to connect the hive to power, as it charges the drone.

The $999 Vuzix Blade might be the first pair of Alexa-compatible smart glasses. Its creators also say they'll add compatibility with Google Assistant in the future, too. The headset takes video and photos, and plays audio through integrated headphones. It can also display images, video, apps and messages, right on the lenses.
