Get cooking with the Caso SousVide Center SV1000 (pictures)

The Caso SousVide Center (model number SV1000) retails for $499.95 in the US and around £470 in the UK.

It can accommodate about 2.25 gallons of water (9 liters).

It comes with two different stainless steel racks so you can easily arrange multiple bags per cooking cycle.

It also has a built-in vacuum sealer and comes with reusable zipper bags.

The vacuum sealer works while the Caso is in use.

The touchscreen display panel is easy to use, but you can't see much through the "viewfinder."

This model can handle temperatures ranging from 86 to 194 degrees Fahrenheit (that's 30 to 90 Celsius) and adjustments within a tenth-of-a-degree.

And you can set the timer by the minute from o to 99 hours.

Press play to start and stop a cooking cycle and the square "stop" button to set a the timer to start cooking up to 12 hours in the future.

If you used the timer function, the cooking cycle will end on its own. Just keep in mind that the temperature will immediately begin to drop when the timer finishes.
