Casio Exilim cameras at CES 2011 (photos)
At CES 2011, Casio announced five point-and-shoot cameras, including the unusual Tryx and the high-power EX-ZR100 compact megazoom.
Casio Tryx
Though I might not be in love with the design of the Tryx, Casio deserves credit for trying to break away from traditional camera designs without getting silly about it. The rotating swivel display will allow you the flexibility to stand or hang the camera without any assistance.

This, fortunately, isn't the final interface for the touch-screen controls.

There's an HDMI out for quickly connecting to an external display for viewing your 12-megapixel photos and full HD video. The battery is not removable, so charging is done in the camera through its USB port.

The Tryx stores to SD/SDHC memory cards. I kind of like that the slot is protected by the frame when the camera's closed.

A built-in orientation sensor allows you to hold the camera in your left or right hand for shooting.
Casio Exilim EX-ZR100
The ZR100 was the other big announcement from Casio at CES 2011. It has many of the same shooting features as the Tryx--including a high dynamic range (HDR) mode--but it's a compact megazoom with a 12.5x 24-300mm-equivalent lens.

It's not as compact as other compact megazooms. Still, it is only an inch thick.

That's a 3-inch 460K-dot LCD on back. There's a one-touch record button for capturing clips in full HD at 30 frames per second or high-speed slow-motion movies at up to 1,000fps.

That HS button is for activating the camera's high-speed shooting capable of capturing at up to 40fps at 10 megapixels.
Casio Exilim EX-HS30
The HS30 is basically the ZR100 without all the high-speed goodness.

Casio Exilim EX-ZS10
The ZS10 is a $120 ultracompact. It's a pretty basic 14-megapixel camera with a 26mm-equivalent wide-angle lens with a 5x zoom and 2.7-inch LCD. It captures 720p HD movie clips and has a one-touch record button, which is a rarity at this price.

The EX-ZS10 will be available in black, silver, red, pink, and blue, and will ship in March 2011
Casio Exilim EX-ZS5
The ZS5 is identical to the ZS10, but records video in VGA resolution instead of HD, saving you a whopping $20.
