The SL2 incorporates the same Dual Pixel CMOS with on-chip autofocus sensors that's in the T7i.
Canon has made some cosmetic changes to the body, moved the USB and HDMI ports to the grip side and added an articulated touchscreen LCD.
The LCD has an oddly big bezel on the left side.
Wait. Wasn't that fat bezel on the other side? I hope it's just the angle of the photos.
The grip looks like it's lost some of the front indentation, but Canon says it's deeper.
In addition to the new look for the buttons, switches and a recessed mode dial, there's a new dedicated connection button.
With the exception of the LCD, all the changes on the back just modernize the look a little.
