Buh-bye, front dial
The G1 X Mark II has two rings on the lens, one of which is user programmable and the other dedicated to focus. I suppose the programmable ring is supposed to serve the same function as the front adjustment dial.
Tilt, no swivel
Canon swapped the articulated LCD for a tilting touch screen. The redesigned flash can be tilted back for bouncing, a nice improvement.
Selfie tilt
The display can flip up 180 degrees for self-portraits.
No more EV dial
It gives the camera a much flatter top.
So long, OVF
Canon dropped the optical viewfinder in favor of an optional tilting EVF.
