Bundles, gift cards and a couple of price drops are the deal highlights for the 2016 holiday season.
The Polaroid Snap mashes up a digital and instant-film camera. Walmart has it for $84 (down from $100), but is also including a case and 8GB microSD card.
Though the price everywhere will be its regular price of $400, Target is bundling the Hero5 with a $60 gift card for the store, while Best Buy is including a $35 Best Buy gift card and a 64GB microSD card.
The older Hero Session (not the new 4K Hero5 version) is available for $180 ($20 off its normal price) in various bundles. At Target you can get a $20 Target gift card, a GoPro floating handle and 16GB SanDisk MicroSD card. Walmart's deal is the same -- minus the gift card -- while Best Buy swaps the gift card for a headstrap mount.
The excellent entry-level D3400 is available just about everywhere as part of a bundle with two lenses -- an 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens -- for $500. It's a good deal in general, but the best bundle for it is at Best Buy because it includes a 32GB SD card.
The regular price of this drone is $500, which is amazing for what you get. For Black Friday, Target and Best Buy have it for $400, but Walmart is dropping the price even more to $370.
3D Robotics (also known as 3DR) is getting out of the drone hardware business to concentrate on the software side. To clear out inventory, Best Buy has the drone with its motorized gimbal, an extra battery, extra propellers and a bag for $350. You'll just have to supply your own GoPro camera.
Microsoft has the Ehang GhostDrone 2.0 for $700, which includes a set of first-person-view goggles that allow you to control camera tilt with your head and give you a view from the camera while flying.
The Bebop is one of the safer camera drones available thanks to its foam body and propellers that stop the instant they come in contact with anything. Parrot has improved the quality of the camera through firmware updates and added features such as subject tracking and auto-follow. Microsoft has it on sale for $400.
The T6 is available from several retailers in a bundle for $450. The bundles -- available from Target, Walmart and NewEgg.com -- include an 18-55mm lens, a 75-300mm lens, a bag and SanDisk 16GB SD card. Best Buy has the same deal, but doubles the card storage to 32GB.
When we reviewed the D5300 we said it was arguably the best dSLR you can buy for a little more than $1,000 with a lens. Today on Black Friday, you can get it from Best Buy with an 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens and a 32GB SD card for $600.
The DJI Phantom 3 lacks the obstacle avoidance and high performance of the Phantom 4, but it's still a fantastic drone and a good value from Best Buy for $800. If you can scratch together another $200, though, the retailer has the Phantom 4 for $1,000.
Originally $1,100 for the body only, the EM-5 II is $900 from online retailer Newegg.
One of the most rugged action cams available -- and it even has a flip-out LCD on the side -- the 4K Olumpus Tough TG-Tracker is on Newegg.com for $300.
