The iPad Mini with Retina Display
During its keynote today, Apple unveiled the iPad Mini with Retina Display. The new tablet will feature a 2,048x1,536-pixel resolution and houses Apple's A7 chip. It will be available in late November, starting at $399.
Launching with iOS 7
The tablet will run iOS 7 and ships in late November, starting at $399 for 16GB of storage for the Wi-Fi version, continuing to $499 for 32GB, $599 for 64GB, and $699 for the brand-new 128GB configuration.
At a carrier near you
The cellular version of the Mini start at $529 for 16GB, and from there it's $629 for 32GB, $729 for 64GB, and finally a whopping $829 for 128GB. All four major US carriers (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile) will offer the device.
Faster, longer usage experience
Apple says the new iPad Mini (left) is four times faster than last year's model and has eight times the graphics performance, while still providing a purported 10 hours of battery life.
A thin profile
The new iPad Mini measures 7.87 inches tall, 5.3 inches wide, and is 0.29 inch thick. The Wi-Fi model will weigh 0.73 pound, whereas the Wi-Fi and cellular model will weigh 0.75 pound.
Say cheese to the 5-megapixel shooter
The tablet sports a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD recording capabilities, and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera that can record 720p HD video.
Familiar color schemes
Still retaining that aluminum build, the Mini will come in black/gray and white/silver.

The rear-facing camera features backside illumination, face detection, a five-element lens, HDR photo capabilities, and an f/2.4 aperture.
