Setting up San Francisco
Apple's event on Tuesday, October 22, in San Francisco is expected to bring new iPads and Macs. Apple's holding the event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater.
The company began decorating the building earlier this week. Here's the progress as of Friday afternoon, local time.
Laminating
A worker affixes the large, white Apple logo to the front of the theater.
Nearly done
The front of the venue still has more work ahead.
From the back
Workers put the finishing touches on the front of the building, seen here from within the backside of the theater.
The big apple (logo)
The colorful leaves are all the same as the one on Apple's logo.
More leaves
More leaves go up alongside the main logo.
Scaffolding
This year's decorations appear to be more complicated than in the past, with the need for scaffolding on top of the usual riser trucks.
Inspection
Two workers affix one of the side panels.
Silver and gold, and yellow, and pink
Apple has gone with a multicolored front on the theater for the event, unlike WWDC at the nearby Moscone Center, which is typically white and gray.
