Apple MacBook 12-inch

You won't detect much physical change to the 12-inch Apple MacBook -- its body, size and display resolution all remain the same as the previous model. 

The default processor is the current-gen Intel Core m3, but you can also upgrade to Core i5 or Core i7 Intel CPUs.

For those big on RAM, The 12-inch MacBook now supports 16GB (up from 8GB) for an extra $200.

If you favored the design of the older 12-inch MacBook, you're in luck -- the laptop maintains the same 2.03-pound body and metallic finish. 

The 12-inch MacBook keeps its slim and lightweight design for excellent portability.

Bad news for USB lovers: The 12-inch MacBook still holds only one USB-C port, so you'll have to buy an adapter to plug most things in. 

Some things never change -- which remains true for the design of the superflat keyboard on the 12-inch MacBook. What's new, though, is an improved second-gen butterfly mechanism for more responsive typing. 

The 12-inch MacBook may be small, but it packs a load of power with the latest Intel processors, also known by the code name "Kaby Lake." 

The 12-inch MacBook has remained fairly stable over its three generations, with the same slim 2.03-pound body and high-res Retina Display. 

The improved keyboard and the faster CPU options feel like a real step forward, although the system is still not quite as updated as we'd like. 

You're still stuck with the same not-great 480p webcam, and there's just that single USB-C port for all your power and connectivity needs, which will be a deal-breaker for many. But if you can work with those limitations, this is the best version of the 12-inch MacBook yet.
