SAN FRANCISCO--At U.S. Federal Court here this week, where Google is defending itself against allegations it used Oracle's Java technology without license to develop its Android mobile software, Google displayed growth statistics and adoption rates from 2010 showing Android's momentum over the past two years.
Key metrics outline Android's revenue growth and ad strategy, as well as projections for the music business growth and the roadmap going forward.
According to court documents, Google's Android strategy in 2010 was focused on extending the core business, and is moving into what is designated in the charts as "Phase 3: New Monetizable Services."
