Analogue Nt Mini
It might not be as small as Nintendo's new mini NES, but it can play far more games. Plus, the Analogue Nt Mini is made of aluminum.

Analogue says it'll play every original Nintendo Entertainment System and Famicom game cartridge and work with every single accessory.

That's partially thanks to ports: Analogue faithfully recreated not only four original NES controller ports, but also a Famicom Disk System socket. And of course, there's HDMI and a variety of analog audio and video options.

Analogue says it spent 5,000 hours reverse-engineering the actual NES's silicon chips to fit on a new field programmable gate array (FPGA) -- an Altera Cyclone V. Only six screws and two ribbon cables stand in the way of seeing for yourself.

The console's body is carved from a single block of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. If you open it up, remove the motherboard and tap it with a hammer, it'll ring clear as a bell. (We tried.)
Analogue Nt Mini
The Analogue Nt Mini can play both NES and Famicom games. The blue Rockman / Mega Man cartridge is the latter. (You won't find any of the games in this picture on Nintendo's NES Classic.)

The system comes in both silver and black, though you'll have to pay an extra $49 for the black version.

You can even play Duck Hunt -- as long as you've got an old CRT television, because the Zapper doesn't work without one.
