The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is lighter than its predecessor and has a higher-contrast display. It starts at $119 for the Wi-Fi only, ad-supported version, or pay an extra $20 for no ads.
Its matte black back looks neat, but picks up fingerprints very easily.
It of course has full access to Amazon's extensive e-book library.
It's skinny and weighs only 206g -- a great choice for chucking in your carry-on luggage.
There are no physical buttons on the bottom -- the Paperwhite is entirely touch-screen-based.
As expected, there are a host of cases available for you to wrap it up in.
Go plain, or go for something a bit fancier.
Or find something more sensible if you don't like the pizzazz.
