HTC Snap for Alltel
Joining T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon Wireless, Alltel is now offering the HTC Snap, a Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone with a focus on messaging. The Snap is available for an affordable $79.99 with a one-year contract and after a $70 mail-in rebate.
World phone
Like the HTC Ozone, the Alltel HTC Snap offers dual-mode functionality for international roaming.
Sleek design
The HTC Snap measures 4.5 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide by 0.5 inch thick and weighs 3.7 ounces.
Pocket friendly
With its slim profile, you'll have no problem slipping the HTC Snap into a pants pocket.
Spacious keyboard
The HTC Snap features a pretty easy-to-use QWERTY keyboard. There isn't a ton of spacing between the buttons, but the keys are a good size and have a nonslippery texture.
Inner Circle feature
The Alltel HTC Snap includes HTC's Inner Circle feature. By pressing the dedicated Inner Circle button (the last key on the keyboard's bottom row), the HTC Snap will bring e-mails from a preselected group of people to the top of your in-box so you can read and reply to them immediately.
Snap's camera
The HTC Snap features a 2-megapixel camera with video-recording capabilities.
Photo quality
Picture quality was quite impressive. Images were clear and colors were vibrant and rich, even though the photo was taken under harsh fluorescent lighting.
Expansion slot
The Snap offers about 256MB of onboard storage and a microSD expansion slot that can accept up to 32GB cards.
