Alcatel expands OneTouch family with new phones, tablets and its first smartwatch (pictures)

BERLIN -- Alcatel's Go Watch may just be the most colorful smartwatch we've seen. And as Alcatel says it's waterproof, dustproof and shockproof, it could be among the most durable, as well.

You can replace the bands if you like as well as the bezel.

Customization also is a theme of the Go Play. You can swap out the backing.

Also rugged, it's supposed to be able to survive a fall of 1.5 meters, and thanks to the waterproof skin you can snap photos underwater.

The Pop Star is a 5-inch Android Lollipop device with dual-SIM capabilities and a wide selection of design options.

You can choose from 20 back covers that feature different colors, patterns and materials like leather and wood.

The Pop Up has a 1.4GHz octa-core processor and a 13-megapixel rear camera.

In lieu of colorful back plates, however, the Pop Up comes in five colors, including orange, red and blue.

The 5-inch Pixi First is tiny by today's smartphone standards. Features are minimal, but it comes in four metallic-effect colors: gray, silver, gold and pink.

The replaceable covers make the Idol 3C stand out. They come in five colors: white, lime green, yellow, purple and red. They're made of plastic, but they snapped on with a loud and satisfying click.

Part tablet, part all-in-one desktop PC, the Alcatel Xess has a 1,920x1,080-pixel resolution. On a 17.3-inch screen, though, that won't look incredibly sharp or detailed.

On the back of the Xess is a built-in stand that lets it recline 30, 50 or 70 degrees. The stand also doubles as a handle.

Joining the 7- and 8-inch models, the 10-inch Pixi 3 will come in 3G and Wi-Fi-only variants.
