Alcatel One Touch M'Pop is U.S.-bound (pictures)
The entry-level Android 4.1 Jelly Bean smartphone is coming to the U.S., sometime, on some carrier. Here's a glimpse of what we'll see.
Alcatel One Touch M'Pop is one of a quartet
LAS VEGAS--Keeping it simple, the Alcatel One Touch M'Pop provides Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in a basic smartphone frame. This one has a 4-inch WVGA display. Three other smartphones belong to the family, but won't come to the U.S.
Camera
You won't find a flash to go along with the 5-megapixel camera. There's also a VGA front-facing lens.
Getting into the guts of it
The M'Pop and its brethren host 1GHz single-core processors.
Side view
This model also has 512MB of onboard storage, but it takes a microSD card behind the back cover.
All of a kind
From left to right, the whole family portrait: T'Pop (tiny), S'Pop (small), M'Pop (medium), and X'Pop (large).
