Acer's phones and brutal gaming gear of IFA 2015 (pictures)

We take a look at Acer's range of phones, tablets and laptops it showed off at this year's IFA tradeshow.

Acer Liquid Z630

The Acer Liquid Z630 announced at the IFA trade show sports a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.

With a 5.5-inch display and 8-megapixel cameras on the front and back, the Z630 sits at the top of the mountain of releases Acer announced in Berlin.

The Z630 is due to go on sale in Europe in September for a very reasonable 210 euros (around £155, $235 or AU$340).

Acer Liquid Z530

The Acer Liquid z530 is billed as the "perfect selfie smartphone" that refers to the 8-megapixel camera on the front that works in conjunction with software tweaks to let you get the best shot.

Specs include a 5-inch, 720p display, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and up to 16GB of storage.

The Z530 goes on sale in October in Europe for only 149 euros (£110, $165 or AU$240).

Acer Liquid Z330

The Liquid Z330 is Acer's budget-friendly smartphone which, along with the Z320, feature 4.5-inch displays, dual cameras (5 megapixels on the front/back for the Z330), and all-plastic bodies with buttonless front panels.

 The Z330 will be hitting shelves in Europe and the UK in October, for 129 euros (which converts to £95, $145 or AU$210).

Acer Predator 8

The Predator 8 has an 8-inch FHD display that can run at 1,920x1,200-pixel resolution and offers haptic feedback to gamers using a technology Acer calls TacSense.

Gaming audio is well-handled by the quad-speaker set up on the front that works on conjunction with a "special DSP algorithm" to produce a virtual surround-sound environment.

Acer Predator 8

The Predator 8 GT-810 will sell exclusively at Newegg for two weeks beginning November 6 for $299, after which prices will vary according to their specific markets.

Acer Predator 15 and 17

The Acer Predator 15 and 17 build in Core i7 6700HQ processors, Nvidia GeForce GTX980 graphics, and up to 32GB of memory.

To battle the dreaded in-game latency problems, Acer worked with Killer to install its network manager and DoubleShot Pro service into the laptops that effectively let you use a wireless connection and Ethernet at the same time, distributing bandwidth to the priorities that you specify.

The Predator notebooks will start shipping in November starting at $1,499 for the 15 and $1,599 for the 17.

Acer Chromebook R 11

Chromebooks are the fastest growing segment in 2014, according to Acer, and the R 11 is the company's ticket into the ultraportable category.

It's a convertible tablet that can switch switch back and forth between a host of different software modes to match any environment, from "tent mode" that lets you experience the tablet in a tight spot or simple laptop mode for times when you know you'll be stationary for a while to use the device in one place.

Acer Chromebook R 11

The Acer Chromebook R 11 will go on sale in North America with prices starting at $299.

Acer Revo Build M1-601

Acer also revealed a new "block" based modular PC system called the Revo Build.

Magnetic pins secure the base to the components above it, and users can easily add extras to the system without tools or cables.

The Revo Build M1-601 will begin selling in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East starting in October, with build prices starting at €199.

Acer Aspire V 13

The Aspire V 13 is available in black or white, designed to be a professional-quality notebook with an HD Web cam for online Web calls, four USB ports and dual speakers powered by Dolby Audio Technology.

It'll sell in October for $599 for the base model.
