Acer held a press conference at Antoni Gaudi's Casa Batllo during GSMA Mobile World Congress 2009 to unveil its new line of smartphones.

Acer hosted a happy hour before the start of the event where attendees dined on some fine tapas.
The press conference proved to be a popular event, as journalists and other industry members crowded into the room to learn about Acer's new devices.
Acer, which is more known for its Netbooks and notebooks, said entering the smartphone market was a natural move for the company and part of its long-term mobile strategy.
Several of Acer's executives were on hand to explain the company's strategy and the vision behind its line of smartphones.
One of the announced products was the Acer L1. The L1 is aimed at first-time smartphone users.
The Acer F900 is all about Web browsing. The Windows Mobile smartphone features a 3.8-inch WVGA touch screen and has integrated Wi-Fi and 3G support.
If the slide-out QWERTY keyboard didn't give it away, the Acer M900 is designed for the messaging fanatics. The M900 will ship with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional Edition and has GPS and a 5-megapixel camera.
