A Windows 8 tablet-laptop hybrid with latest Intel chips (pictures)

BERLIN -- We're checking out the latest, greatest new tech from the IFA trade show in Germany. Feast your eyes on the Asus Transformer Book T300. It's a Windows 8 tablet, packing the latest Intel processors and a keyboard dock, turning it into a laptop.
The tablet section is quite thick -- when it's all together, it's not going to be a superskinny travel companion.
The keyboard dock is much better for typing out long e-mails than just using onscreen keys.
There's a fourth-generation Intel Core i7 purring away inside -- it needs these vents to keep cool.
It has a metal shell that should help it shrug off a few knocks and bumps.
There's a rear-facing camera and a front-facing one, too, for video calling.
There's a smattering of ports on the tablet section, but the keyboard docks adds some extras, too.
The tablet easily snaps into place on the keyboard dock using some rather strong magnets.
It has a Full HD display, which is of course touch-enabled for swiping your way around the colourful tiles of Windows 8.
