A top-to-bottom look at the Frigidaire FGTR1845QF top freezer fridge (pictures)

This simple fridge looks pretty spiffy for a basic top freezer model, and its capacity added up to more than we thought it would.

The bright white interior nicely contrasts with the smudge-proof stainless exterior. Bright LEDs illuminate the 18.3 cubic feet of space.

The curved handles look good and the stainless finish resists fingerprints well.

The fridge takes up 14.2 cubic feet of the 18.3 cubic-foot total capacity. It keeps the number of dividers to a minimum, and ends up with plenty of room for tall items.

We were surprised by how much food we could fit in the fridge. We managed to pack in a couple of large items like this extra-large pizza box in addition to a full load of groceries.

When we jammed everything closer together, we could fit even more items, though this isn't the ideal way to fill your fridge.

The plastic edges of the glass shelves held back a the spill form a poured glass of water, though not from a splashed one.

Two drawers at the bottom give you a spot for veggies, meats and cheeses.

There's a slider for each bottom drawer, letting you adjust the humidity.

The Frigidaire FGTR1845QF doesn't do a lot, but what it does, it does well, making it a solid, budget-friendly fridge.

I Got an Early Look at Intel's Glass Packaging Tech for Faster Chips
Rahul Manepalli, right, Intel's module engineering leader, shows a glass substrate panel before it's sliced into the small rectangles that will be bonded to the undersides of hundreds of test processors. The technology, shown here at Intel's CH8 facility in Chandler, Arizona, stands to improve performance and power consumption of advanced processors arriving later this decade. Glass substrates should permit physically larger processors comprised of several small "chiplets" for AI and data center work, but Intel expects they'll trickle down to PCs, too.
