Plenty of space
As bottom-freezer models go, the LG LDC24370ST is about as big as they come, with 24 cubic feet of storage space, 16.3 of which are allocated to the fridge.
Stainless steel, not smudgeless
The stainless steel style gives it a bit of a premium feel, too -- although it's hard not to leave fingerprints all over it.
Freezer on the bottom
The bottom freezer compartment pulls out like a drawer, making it a lot easier to access the items inside than if it used a hinged door.
Interior design
The inside of the fridge looks and feels like a high-end model, with user-friendly features, spillproof glass shelving, and LED lighting.
Climate controls
Temperature controls are located on the inside of the door, with separate thermostats for the freezer and fridge compartments.
In-door shelving
There's plenty of storage space in the door, along with plastic sliders on the bottom two shelves to help section things off. The small shelf on the top right also folds up and out of the way to make room for tall things like wine bottles.
Crispers
You'll find two crisper bins inside of the fridge, each with its own humidity control vent.
Glide N' Serve
There's also a third "Glide N' Serve" drawer at the bottom of the fridge compartment designed to store meats, cheeses, or wider things like party trays.
Fill 'er up
Along with our standardized load of test groceries, we were able to fit all six of our large-sized stress test items into the fridge individually, and five out of six in at once.
Heat map
Over the course of a three-day test, the average temperatures in the fridge sat slightly higher than the target of 37 degrees F, but they were extremely consistent throughout.
Minute-by-minute cooling
You can see that consistency in the minute-by-minute graph from that test. Each line represents a different region, and as you can see, they all sit more or less right on top of each other. It makes for an ugly graph, but it's actually a very strong result, as other fridges we've tested show much larger temperature swings, and much larger variance from region to region.
A little colder this time
With the fridge set to 33 degrees, the results were largely the same: averages fell above the target temp, but ran consistent throughout the fridge.
One fine freezer
It's also worth noting that the freezer section was a phenomenal performer, holding steady at the target temperature of 0 degrees F in both tests.
Price point
The LG LDC24370ST retails for $1,800, which is right at the top of the bottom-freezer price range. That isn't cheap, but there's still a lot to like about this fridge. Check out our full review for the whole story.
