2020 Nissan Sylphy rises in Shanghai, looks like the next Sentra

The 2020 Nissan Sylphy has debuted in The Middle Kingdom at the Shanghai Motor Show, aka AutoChina.  

If tradition holds, this model will come to the US and Canada as the next Sentra.  

Nissan's Intelligent Mobility suite of advanced driver assist systems is offered with tech, like forward collision warning, blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, cross-traffic alert and Intelligent Driving Alert (a basic driver monitor to curb drowsy/distracted motorists).  

Quilted camel-colored leather seats in a Sentr... Sylphy? Never thought we'd live to see the day.  

For now, Nissan isn't talking much about the power and efficiency metrics of this vehicle's updated HR16DE four-cylinder engine and refreshed Xtronic CVT.  

Nissan says its engineers have improved the Sylphy's body stiffness, as well as overhauled the model's suspension and steering with driving fun in mind.  

There's an available color 7-inch TFT screen in the instrument binnacle and an 8-inch infotainment screen in the center stack.
