2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is only for the bold
A polarizing split-rear window in Mitsubishi's latest compact SUV means you either love it or hate it.
The 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross takes its inspiration from the popular Eclipse coupe produced from 1990 to 2012.
It has got a bit of a polarizing design in the rear fascia. That split rear window inspires some strong opinions.
All-wheel drive is standard on LE trims and above. If you want two-wheel drive, you'll have to stick with the base SE model.
Under the hood is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine putting out 154 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque.
Mated to a continuously variable transmission, the engine is delightfully strong and torquey.
The large screen on the available heads-up display can be deployed with a touch of a button.
A 7-inch touchscreen running Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can also be controlled by a touchpad on the center console.
Driver's aids are only available on the top SEL trim with the Touring package.
The Eclipse Cross starts at $23,295, not including destination. A loaded-up SEL with Touring package bumps the price to $30,395.
The Eclipse Cross will be in dealers in March of 2018. Keep scrolling for more photos of this compact SUV.
