This is a big week for Nintendo fans. Not only is there a new console, the Nintendo Switch, but the Japanese company also released new videos of the upcoming Legend of Zelda game, Breath of the Wild.

During the announcement video for the Switch, Nintendo gave a look at many familiar titles being played on the new console. No surprise there: Series such as Mario Kart, Legend of Zelda and Metroid have always been a key draw for loyal Nintendo fans whenever there's a new console.

Breath of the Wild is expected to be on both the Switch and the older Wii U in 2017, but it will likely give gamers a reason to switch...to the new system.

The newest videos put the game's setting center stage. Link is seen standing on mountains or hang-gliding through the air, so that the viewer gets a 360-degree preview of the new Zelda world.

Other in-game features are shown off, like Link's ability to cook food, snowboard or fire arrows in slow-motion. The visual beauty of the videos is backed by an equally impressive soundtrack.

Huge names such as Super Mario and Pokemon will arrive, along with the new Zelda game, within six months of the Switch's release, our sister site GameSpot reports. Things are looking good already for the new Nintendo console: All aboard the hype train.
