In response to the May 10 article, "IBM pushes to 2GHZ":
This is my first effort to address the problem of biased reports that MHz equals pure speed. That is wrong when comparing PowerPC speeds vs. Intel (big brother) chips.
Your quote, "The new chips still won't let Apple close the speed gap with Intel and AMD, however," gives us Apple stockholders serious concern that you are pushing Wintel machines.
My effort to battle this bias has just begun. Expect to hear more on this serious issue. In closing I want to thank you for attempting to communicate the fact that the plumbing of a chip can increase its speed.
