You can now use Google Photos to stabilize and share Apple Live Photos

It's now easier than ever to share your Live Photos with friends and family.

Google has updated its Photos app on iOS with new features that can provide enhancements to Apple Live Photos. The updated app now allows iPhone 6S and iPhone 7 owners to make Live Photos smoother and more shareable with the tap of a button.

Google launched a Motion Stills app earlier this year that could stabilize Live Photos and convert them into shareable GIFs. That same stabilization and rendering technology has now been merged into the Google Photos app on iOS.

The new technology lets people use Google Photos to correct shaky Live Photos, freeze the background and create shareable looping videos. The update also includes the ability to sort photos chronologically or by recently added, a feature the company highlighted will soon be coming to Android and the Web.
