World's ugliest supercar transforms into a robot (car toys)

Behold the Mitsuoka Orochi. If you want the distinction of owning one, it'll cost you about $95,000 and the price of a plane ticket to Japan. Or, for about $60, you could pick up a much smaller version that transforms into a robot.

Mitsuoka Orochi
OK, so calling Mitsuoka Orochi a supercar may be a stretch, but we're definitely right about the ugly part. Wow! Mitsuoka Motors

Behold the Mitsuoka Orochi. It's powered by a 3.3-liter, 230 horsepower Toyota Camry V-6; has a power-to-weight ratio somewhere between that of the Honda Civic and a Mini Cooper S; and carries the distinction of being the ugliest supercar ever built. Ever. And if you want the distinction of owning one, it'll cost you about $95,000 and the price of a plane ticket to Japan, or, for about $60, you could pick up a much smaller version that transforms into a robot.

User kenji on the Transformers enthusiast forum HK-TF has posted preview photos of the upcoming Transformers: Alternity Skywarp by Takara Tomy, the Japanese owner of the popular Transformers line of toys and cartoons. If you've been living under a rock for the last 20 years, Transformers are giant robots that, well, transform into vehicles. However, rather than transforming into the jet that many of us remember from the 1980s cartoon series, this revision of the Skywarp character transforms from the oddball Mitsuoka Orochi into an evil robot. The action figure comes in two paint jobs: purple pearl for Skywarp and white pearl for his twin, Starscream.

I know everyone loves Starscream, but trust me, Skywarp is much cooler. HK-TF.com member kenji

The Transformers: Alternity line also features reimaginations of Autobot leader Optimus Prime as a Nissan GT-R, Decepticon leader Megatron as a Nissan 370Z, and Autobot scouts Bumblebee and Cliffjumper as Suzuki Swifts. The Transformers: Alternity line is only available in Japan, but it shouldn't be too hard to find a willing importer or reseller online.
