Working with Mac addicts

In response to the January 9 Perspectives column by Michael Kanellos, "Macintosh: An acquired taste":

I thought I was alone.

Having run a large information technology shop at a major Canadian advertising agency, I've been constantly bombarded with the "look what Apple's doing" and "look at this cool Apple product." Of course, when it came down to integrating the lowly Mac into a corporate environment and streamlined IT shop where sameness equals efficiency, they (the Mac people) couldn't believe that I wanted to "restrict" their creative juices.

Alas, I now work for myself.
