For nearly three years, the virtual reality company Oculus flaunted prototypes of its headset to media and developers at trade shows. But the company is nearly ready to sell it to the public. Oculus -- owned by Facebook -- announced it will have a commercial version of its gaming headgear in the first quarter of 2016. Preorders begin later this year.
