Witcher 3 Dev: Blood and Wine is definitely final expansion
"This is the last thing we deliver," the director says; the team is shifting to Cyberpunk 2077, though Witcher 3 will still get bug-fixing updates.
If you were holding out hope that CD Projekt Red had more content in store for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt beyond this month's Blood and Wine add-on, you're out of luck. Game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz told Eurogamer that Blood and Wine is indeed the final piece of post-release content for the celebrated RPG.
Asked if players could expect any further content updates after Blood and Wine, Tomaszkiewicz said, "No, this is the last thing we deliver" as the developer's sights shift to Cyberpunk 2077.
CD Projekt Red isn't packing up and walking away from The Witcher 3 completely, however. Tomaszkiewicz said the developer will continue to release patches to fix bugs in the main game and expansions. You can expect a patch before Blood and Wine's release and "maybe one later."
Eurogamer also asked Tomaszkiewicz if PC players could expect CD Projekt Red to release the RedKit modding tools. He said he's hopeful the developer can "do something," but stopped short of confirming anything.
"I don't got such information to be honest," he said. "We want to support our community and I hope that we will do something."
In August 2015, CD Projekt Red released official modding tools for The Witcher 3 in the form of the ModKit. It's a tool suite that allows players to modify the game in a number of crazy ways, but some fans said it's not enough. Instead, what they were expecting was a new version of CD Projekt Red's "REDkit," a more fleshed-out mod tools package that's currently available for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

Beyond the paid expansions, CD Projekt Red released 16 pieces of free DLC for all Witcher 3 players.
