Microsoft released updated beta versions of Windows Vista and Office today--and they're actually on time! The is, basically, that it looks really cool. It introduces OS X-style widgets, as well as the new graphics layer called Aero. There's also a new, streamlined Start menu with integrated search and autolaunch, a new Help window, hard drive encryption, better overall security, and...oh, wait, what? It's still not coming out until January 2007? Oh, OK, never mind. I'm done getting all excited about this for now, then. Call me in about six months, OK? OK.
