A national survey finds that Microsoft's Windows 95 is in 6 percent of U.S. homes that have a personal computer.

Conducted by Odyssey, a market research firm in San Francisco, the study also found that 22 percent of Windows 95 owners have signed up for the Microsoft Network online service.

Of the 1,201 households surveyed, 92 percent said they have heard of Windows 95 but only 10 percent said it was extremely likely they will purchase the new operating system in the next six months.
