Mass-mailing e-mail worm Win32.VB is spreading quickly, but poses little risk, according to security company F-Secure. The worm, which is largely distributing spam, has jumped to the No. 3 spot on F-Secure's virus statistics chart, the company said Wednesday. Within two days, the worm has generated nearly 700 reports from F-secure users.
However, the worm has posed little threat and has largely been stopped by customers using antivirus software or at corporate gateways, F-Secure noted. As result, the worm is not deemed critical, the security company said.
