With Canon throwing its hat into the wireless camera ring with its announcement of the PowerShot SD430, now three of the biggest digicam manufacturers have committed to making Wi-Fi-enabled snapshot cameras. The SD430 will join the already available Kodak EasyShare One, as well as the Nikon Coolpix P1 and P2 in consumer-level digital cameras that can sync wirelessly with computers. All three camera lines enable wireless syncing and printing (with printer adapters). The Kodak EasyShare One can connect wirelessly with Kodak's EasyShare Gallery online, and the Canon PowerShot SD430 can be controlled from a Wi-Fi-enabled computer. Wireless tech is new for consumer-level cameras, and we'll have to wait and see if it becomes accepted as a common feature.
