Why you don't need a blog

Why you don't need a blog

Dorian Benkoil
Many, including our own At Work editor Rafe Needleman, have written about why blogging makes so much sense for business. Doing a blog, or Web-based interactive diary of your business, can serve as a marketing tool, a way to keep in touch with customers, and a way to have your Web site come up higher in search results.

But Business Logs, a small business that brings "the power of Weblogs, wikis, and other online collaboration tools to organizations," writes that your business may not actually need a blog. They have good ideas about things you should consider, such as whether you have the time to keep a blog going, and whether your business already has enough contact with customers that blogs would be a waste of time.
