Will Sherlock Holmes join the Doctor traveling through time and space in this musical battle, or will Holmes make The Doctor move into 221B Baker Street?

Many fans of the "Doctor Who" and "Sherlock Holmes" series dream of a crossover where Sherlock and the Doctor travel through time and space together solving the mysteries of the universe. And while we didn't see Peter Capaldi palling around with Benedict Cumberbatch at Comic-Con this weekend, Antonius and Vijay of AVbyte made our mashup hopes a reality, complete with music, in "Wholock: The Musical."

In the clip, the Doctor tries to convince Sherlock to travel in time and space with him, while Sherlock attempts to lure the Doctor to 221B Baker Street to help solve Earthly mysteries. The two alphas argue over who should be top dog in their inevitable partnership, and while they do eventually agree to unite, they never seem to agree on who will be joining whom.

Maybe one day the BBC will give fans the mashup of their dreams. Until then, it's great to see fans taking matters into their own hands and imagining what could be the greatest duo of all time. This isn't, of course, the first Sherlock-Doctor Who mashup video we've covered. But a musical? For a highly functional self-proclaimed sociopath and an alien pushing 1,000 years old, these guys sure can sing.
