Google is holding an event presented by Sundar Pichai at 5pm today as he shows off the latest version of Android and formally announces a new version of the widely-leaked Nexus 7. CNET.com will be on the spot and running a live blog over on this page.
Pichai is a Google exec in charge of the Android, Chrome and Google Apps bits of the business. As for what we're expecting, the Nexus 7's screen looks to be the star of the show. It will have a resolution of 1920 x 1200, much higher than the one on the iPad mini. There will be a 5-megapixel camera on the rear, Bluetooth 4.0 and 2GB of RAM.
Not much has come out about the next version of Android, although it's fairly certain to be called 4.3 Jelly Bean and be more of a minor upgrade than a radical overhaul. As for any Chrome developments, nothing much has leaked out at all.
