Apple 's top-end iPhone X is up for preorder in the UK, with sales starting properly on Nov. 3. Almost all of the major networks have now announced their pricing so I've put together a handy guide as to who's offering what.

Directly from Apple

Buying the iPhone X outright from Apple and popping a SIM-only contract in it is the cheapest way to get the phone, when you work out the cost of the phone and contract over the course of two years. Of course, that's a big outlay all in one go, so unless you've got a wad of cash saved up from the sale of your money farm or diamond mine, then it's probably not how you'll be buying your handset.

Apple offers the phone in two storage capacities. The base 64GB model will set you back a cool £999, while the 256GB model costs £1,149. Ouch.

EE

EE's cheapest 24-month contract starts at £73 per month, with an up-front cost of £100. Up that monthly amount a little to £79 and your up-front fee will be less at £50 (which obviously works out to more over the two years). Both plans net you 15GB of 4G data and unlimited calls and texts.

Want more data? EE also has a special plan with a whopping 100GB of data which costs £83 per month with a £10 up-front cost.

Vodafone

Vodafone's plans start at £68 per month, with a higher £150 charge for the iPhone X. That'll net you 16GB of data and unlimited calls and texts. If you want a lower up-front charge then its £80 per month plan comes with 60GB of data and a charge of just £50.

Vodafone does also throw in 24 months of free Spotify, Sky Sports or Now TV with some of its plans, however, which is worth looking into. If you're already a Spotify premium customer, you can effectively knock £10 a month off your bill as you won't need to pay your Spotify fee anymore. Vodafone doesn't offer this with all its plans, so check carefully that it's included in yours when you sign up.

O2

O2 hasn't unveiled all of its iPhone X plans yet, but it has shown off one. It's £77 per month, with a £30 up-front charge, which comes with 20GB of data and unlimited calls and texts.

Three

Three's plans start from £61 per month, with a £249 upfront cost. You'll get 12GB of data and unlimited texts and minutes. The company has a range of plans, stretching right up to £114 per month, with no upfront cost for the phone and unlimited data, calls and texts.

Over the course of the two-year plan, that'll work out as £2,736. Bear in mind however you could buy the phone for £999 and buy one of Three's £29 SIM-only plans with unlimited data and the total cost over the two years will only come to £1,695 -- a saving of over a thousand pounds over the course of your contract.

GiffGaff and Tesco Mobile

Both GiffGaff and Tesco Mobile have announced that they will stock the iPhone X once it's on sale but as of yet, neither has announced any pricing. We'll update this article when we hear more.

Sky Mobile

Sky's plans are the cheapest around, but they also come with most restrictive amount of data.

Its base plan costs £42 per month, with a £99 upfront cost, but comes with only 500MB of data, which is pretty much pointless if you want to do anything more than send some emails.

Its top plan offers a more usable 10GB of data, which will set you back £57 per month with a £99 charge for the iPhone X.

Update, Nov. 2 at 4:31 p.m.: Adds pricing details for Three.
