WhatsApp will let you link four devices to one account, CEO Will Cathcart and Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg told WABetaInfo on Thursday. The feature will enter public beta in the coming months, and could pave the way for iPad support later, Cathcart noted.

The Facebook-owned messaging app will still be end-to-end encrypted, Zuckerberg confirmed.

"It's been a big technical challenge to get all your messages and content to sync properly across devices even when your phone battery dies, but we've solved this and we're looking forward to getting it out soon!" Zuckerberg said.

He also revealed that WhatsApp will add a "view once" option, which makes messages vanish after being viewed, and a "disappearing mode," which lets you turn on disappearing messages in all chat threads.
