What's new on HBO online for January 2016

The deal that sent "Sesame Street" to HBO goes into effect on January 16. HBO will also have a backlog of five years of the show. PBS will still be able to air new episodes of "Sesame Street," but only after nine months have passed from the original HBO airdate.

One of 2015's most critically-acclaimed movies, "Mad Max: Fury Road," will start streaming on HBO on January 9. "The Godfather Epic" will also be available on HBO. It is actually the first two parts of the series.

Some movies are expiring by the end of January. Fittingly, "Gone Girl" and "This is Where I Leave You" will no longer stream on HBO's online services on January 31. Check out the full list below; it applies to both HBO Go and HBO Now.
