What's Darth Vader doing riding a bus?

Photographer Thomas Dagg superimposes characters and symbols from the "Star Wars" universe onto everyday images from life here on Earth. The results will whisk you to a galaxy not so far, far away.

If popular Jedi, Bounty Hunters, Droids and other characters from the "Star Wars" universe invaded ours, this is what it would look like.

Photographer Thomas Dagg is a huge "Star Wars" fan. As a kid growing in Ottawa, Canada in the 1990s, he watched the movies on VHS almost every morning, eventually wearing out the tapes altogether. He saw everything through "Star Wars"-colored lenses, imagining the world around him as being in a galaxy far, far away. Over the past two years, he's been working on a project that he hopes will capture the "Star Wars"-infused world he saw as a child.

In Dagg's images, you'll see Ewoks hanging out at the zoo, baseball players wielding lightsabers, Darth Vader riding the bus, and some random guy carrying Yoda around on his back. The images were created using Photoshop, and Dagg designed them to look like his memories, with every superimposed "Star Wars" character or ship coming from photos of toys he's had since childhood.

It's all pretty impressive, and gives us a real sense of what it might look like if we were living in the "Star Wars" universe. You can view our favorite images from Dagg's collection in the gallery below, and check out the entire series on Dagg's Web site.
